NCC 2006 Yearbook Shows Growth and Decline among Denominations

The National Council of Churches 2006 Yearbook of American and Canadian Churches has just been published. The press release notes that the fastest growing denomination in America is the Assemblies of God. The Mormons and Roman Catholics also posted increases over last year. Mainline denominations including ELCA (Lutheran), Southern Baptist, Presbyterian, Methodist, and UCC all posted declines.
