Conservation Bill Goes Down

The other day I noted Star Tribune columnist Dennis Anderson's piece on the near certainty of a conservation bill getting through the legislature. It didn't happen. The MN house and senate couldn't agree whether to make it one or two ballot questions (one for "hook and bullet" funding and the other for arts, parks and clean water funding), and whether to take all or part of it out of the existing sales tax or to increase the sales tax. I say a pox on both Dems and Reps for not making it happen. They are both blaming each other but there is plenty of blame to go around.

But we did get funding for those new stadiums, though. Yipee.
