The Prayer Closet Today

In addition to prayers for the children of Gaza, mentioned earlier, prayers for the family of Teri Dessalet and her family as her dad, Robert, passed away yesterday. And prayers for Ed Davies, my father-in-law, who has been hospitalized for shortness of breath, and who was diagnosed with an aneurysm near his heart and irreversable lung disease, pulmonary fibrosis.

Got a prayer request? Post it in the comments.

Prayers for the wife and family of my husband's former co-worker. He was let go from his job a month ago and suffered a fatal asthma attack a few weeks later. His calling hours (which my husband attended) and funeral were last weekend.

Prayers for strength and healing for the family of my daughter's friend. Both her grandmothers are very ill. One suffered a debilitating stroke earlier in the week and the other is also ill. The parents are having to travel separately to visit/care for their ailing mothers this weekend.

Prayers for the principal and sons at my daughters' school. Their father/grandfather passed away and they family went out of state for the week to be together for the funeral.

Prayers of thankfulness for a break in the weather in MN so that we have had some sunshine in our lives the past few days. We can go outside and feel the sun and breezes on our skin to lesson the weight of the world--at least for a few moments--from those of us who are on "compassion overload".
