Liberalchurch begins a Vacation Bible School program tonight for 3 nights.
Because seem to be no Progressive Christian VBS materials available, the person who leads the Ministry for Children and Youth at Liberalchurch and I have created our own curriculum.
The Theme of our VBS is "Shaping Our Faith" and it focuses around geometric shapes (Triangle, Circle, Square) and how they are used as symbols by the Christian Faith (Trinity/Creation/Foundations of the Church) as well as other faith traditions (Star of David/Mandalas/Four Winds&Spirits).
In a bit of syncronsity this morning, Beliefnet has a new Religious Symbols game to play. Here's the link for a bit of relaxing enjoyment for you when you need some "down time".
