I thought the best moment in Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's address at Columbia University came when he was asked about persecution of homosexuals in Iran (transcript can be downloaded
here):
In Iran, we don't have homosexuals like in your country. We don't have that in our country. In Iran, we do not have this phenomenon. I don't know who's told you that we have it.
The students at Columbia greeted this with laughter and boos. But Andrew Sullivan
reminds us that it really isn't very funny.
