Daylight Saving Time and SAD
Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is a form of depression that stems from deprivation to direct sunlight and those of us living closer to the poles may be more prone to it during our winter months. For me, it hits hard in November after the daylight saving time change. When I was diagnosed with SAD back in the early 90s, I purchased a lightbox (then not covered by insurance, now it may be covered if I had to replace it).
