Genitics, Morality, and Politics
This article is worth reading in total--so I won't try to summarize it because everyone will get something different from it and summarizing would be editorializing!
I'm going to take the "morality quiz" that they link to in the article now...
Interesting article. While I can't speak to the specifics of the evolution of morality, I have no doubt that our "selfish" genes found it helpful for survival to learn to take care of the group.
